◆ Preface

Companies need to contribute to growing the sustainable society with reducing environmental load in the situation of the global environment change like a global warming

To reducing environmental load, we have activities of GHG reduction and acceleration of recycle materials utilization and so forth.

We also need to control chemical substances used for our products on purpose of the preservation of the natural environment and the safety of our product users.

Regarding Control for this chemical substance, the legal regulations which are RoHS, REACH and so forth have been enforcing in each country and also in each region.

Most electrical industries have prepared the internal control system to correspond to these regulations, and conducted the environmental audit for their suppliers which produce row materials, and parts.

“Working Group For Environment Audit Standardized”was established in July 2010 on the purpose of corresponding to legal regulations and social requirements. We recognized that it is sufficient to reduce workload for both auditor companies and auditee companies with maintaining control for environmental chemical substances.
That is why we have continued activities until now to standardize each individual audit to each supplier.

As a result of the activity by this Working Group, we would like to introduce this standardized audit sheet which is used for audit and evaluation of the environmental chemical substances control system.

We hope that many electrical companies will utilize this audit sheet for auditing and evaluating the environmental chemical substances control system.

◆ Concept of this Audit Sheet

This audit sheet is completed as “Model Audit Sheet” by cooperation of Working Group Companies and based on “the Guideline for the management of chemical substances in products version 2” issued by JGPSSI and JAMP.

This audit sheet is kind of the summarization of requirement related to the chemical substances control in each Working Group company.
