Substitution of silica in zinc refinement

Glass substrates in LCD panel are used together with silica, used as removal agents of iron from smoke and ash residue from steel production, in zinc refinement process, and recovered slag is utilized as materials for cement. Organic materials such as liquid crystals and polarizers are completely incinerated through this process and both zinc and slag are recovered. Figure shows zinc refinement process.

Incineration and melting system

Glass substrates in LCD panel(as waste glass) and ashes generated from incineration process of general wastes are melted through melting furnace at 1300�� to produce chemically stabilized melting slag. Melting slag is utilized as materials for buildings and ceramics as well as civil engineering.
