Overview
- The LCD Industries Research Committee was founded on October 18, 1996 as a research group for the LCD industry. Changes of circumstances around the LCD industry were occurring more rapidly than anticipated, and so the committee was established to build a stronger industry structure to cope with these changes.
At present, LIREC has 11 member companies.

LCD Industries Research Committee (LIREC)
LIREC is made up of member companies working on LCD and it's related products. Its general meeting is the highest decision-making body of the committee and is normally held once a year.
Committee Meeting
Consists of principle and vice chairperson, member of LIREC, project leaders of affiliated committees under LIREC and so on, Committee Meetings are held approximately 3 times a year, to form fiscal business plans and execute them.
And, to promote activities in related business category, we set projects as follows;
- Ergonomics Project

 | linkage to international standars (ISO, IEC etc.) and diffuseness of them |
- ECALS/LCD dictionary Project
 | to compile, publish and maintenance of ECALS/LCD dictionary |
 | to promote diffuseness and practical use of ECALS/LCD dictionary |
 | linkage to international standards (IEC etc.) |
