- Highly efficient Data center support by the review of the improvement in air-flow control and the feeding method
- A case of a data center in Singapore -
- Kazunari Yoshizumi
Chief Consultant, Green Consulting Business Unit, Green Consulting Business Division, NTT Data Intellink Corporation
- The most of data center energy consumption is occupied with ICT( Information and Communication Technology ) device's and airconditioning power, and these two points are main issues to achieve the improvement of the high efficiency in data center. Based on the analysis of air-current in server room and the result of PUE survey, we propose and support the improvement of the air-conditioning efficiency by Cold Aisle Capping, of the highly effective feeding power, of the advancement in reliability and of the safety by the High Voltage Direct Current ( HVDC ) power supply system.

- Report on Energy-Saving Survey by medium voltage inverter for cement factory
- A case of cement factory in north Vietnam -
- Ken Hirata
Senior Engineer, Total Solutions Div, Hitachi, Ltd.
- Usually, rotating machineries are driven by fix speed motor with commercial power. When they are driven by inverter, we can save energy.
Especially for fans or pumps, we can expect large energy saving.
Hitachi surveyed three fans at cement factory in north Vietnam. According to the site survey, we calculated the energy saving effect. As a result, we estimated total 2,300Mwh energy saving can be expected by changing operation methods and installing inverters to motors.
