Green IT Promotion Council
We, Green IT Promotion Council, organaized "Green IT International Symposium 2012" in CEATEC JAPAN 2012.
In February 2008, as an organization involving industry, academia and government, the Green IT Promotion Council
(GIPC) was established by the seven IT-related industrial organizations in Japan as founders, under the “Green IT initiative”
of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). Since the foundation, through active interaction with IT-related
private and government organizations at home and abroad, including Asia, EU, and the U.S., the GIPC has widely introduced
Green IT activities in Japan and exchanged information with many countries on the status of their domestic
activities.
As one of such activities, we are pleased to announce the holding of this 3rd Green IT International Symposium, following
the 2008 and 2010 Symposiums. We have invited presenters from major IT companies, research institutions, and
METI in Japan, as well as many presenters from abroad, who introduced energy-saving activities, trends of policies,etc.
in their countries.
The symposium designed as the global information center of Green IT, presenting the latest trend in Japan and offshore. 1st day was divided into 4 sessions.
