The thickness of liquid crystal layer is about 5 micrometers and the volume of liquid crystals is only about 230 mg in 12" (30 cm) LCD and about 350 mg in 15" (38 cm) LCD.

Liquid crystals are only 0.1% by weight while glass materials are about 90% in LCD panel

Usually liquid crystals don't leak through the breakage of glasses because of the surface tension of thin layer and the construction of LCD panel. But, if you contact with liquid crystal for the worst, please wash it out with soap.
